Jakarta – PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk (XL) kembali mengeluarkan paket bundling. Kali ini dengan ponsel qwerty terbaru keluaran Ti-phone. Di hari pertama memulai debutnya, sekitar 2 ribu ponsel ludes terjual.

Diakui oleh Vice Presiden XL Central Region Joedi Wisoeda kepada detikINET usai peluncuran Ti-phone T87 di Bandung Indah Plaza, Kamis (22/10/2009) malam, bahwa pihaknya menggantungkan harapan besar dalam paket bundling kali ini.

“Kita punya harapan besar terhadap paket bundling kali ini. Masalahnya, secara teknologi ini adalah yang terbaru. Dan kami yang pertama mengeluarkannya,” katanya.

Ponsel Ti-phone T87 adalah ponsel yang mengadopsi model Blackberry. Hampir sama
dengan seri terbaru Blackberry, T87 juga menggunakan sensor optik atau lebih dikenal
dengan trackpad dalam tombol navigasinya.

Tak hanya itu, ponsel yang menggunakan tenologi hybrid GSM dan CDMA ini juga dibenamkan aplikasi Ring Email. Aplikasi yang memungkinkan email account POP3, IMAP atau Microsoft Exchange bisa di-push ke dalam ponsel yang dibanderol Rp 999 ribu selama promosi ini.

Di tempat yang sama, Presiden Komisaris PT TiPhoner Mobile Indonesia, Hengky Setiawan, mengatakan bahwa T87 merupakan inovasi terbaru dari ponsel qwerty.

“Teknology hybrid yang memungkinan GSM dan CDMA bisa on, trackpad dan push email. Itu yang membuat kita berbeda dengan yang lain, dan juga beberapa aplikasi lainnya,” ungkapnya.

Ponsel-ponsel QWERTY berharga miring dengan desain yang meniru BlackBerry umumnya datang dari China. Entah karena tak mau dianggap sebagai barang China yang sering dipersepsikan sebagai barang berkualitas rendah, ponsel QWERTY terbaru yang dirilis PT Teletama Artha Mandiri pun diberi nama dengan merek Amerika, Venera Voyager V1.

Dibandingkan dengan ponsel-ponsel QWERTY seharga, tampilannya lebih fresh dengan pilihan warna cerah, hijau menyala, abu-abu, dan merah. Fiturnya pun unik dengan sensor gerak yang akan mengubah-ubah tampilan secara otomatis dan adanya widget di layar yang biasanya hanya ditemukan di ponsel-ponsel canggih dan premium.
